In addition to this information, previous surgeries, imaging methods (such as uterine imaging, etc.), blood and sperm test results are evaluated. Analyzing this information is vital for a successful IVF. The couple is asked to choose from the treatment options available for them.

Appropriate treatment is planned in the light of information provided during the preliminary interview. Before starting IVF treatment in Cyprus, starting the preliminary preparation in the country where the couple lives will shorten the time they will need to spend in Cyprus. Couples without a time restriction or those who are planning a holiday in Cyprus during the treatment process, are recommended that they remain in Cyprus throughout the process. If egg donation is to be carried out in Cyprus, hormone levels of the mother-to-be are checked on the 2nd or 3rd days of her period. If test results reveal normal level of hormones, the preparation of the uterine wall begins. When the uterine wall thickness reaches the appropriate level, progesterone hormone treatment is started. The couple must be in Cyprus during this treatment, as sperm sample needs to obtained from the spouse on the first day of progesterone treatment. If father-to-be provides the sperm sample before this day, it is sufficient for the mother-to-be to stay in Cyprus without her partner a day before the transfer. For sperm donation, mother-to-be is expected to be in Cyprus only a day before her eggs are collected (OPU). If embryo donation is to be carried out, it is sufficient for the couple to be in Cyprus only a day before the day of transfer.

The means of transportation for IVF treatment in Cyprus is usually by plane. It is also possible to travel to the island by sea via a sea-bus, which from Turkey. Sea-bus journey takes approximately 2 to 3 hours. You can also easily travel to Cyprus by air, choosing either Nicosia Ercan Airport or Larnaca Airport as your final destination. Once the IVF treatment in Cyprus is completed, most of the couples return to their home country the day after the transfer. We recommend a blood pregnancy test (b- HCG) 12 days after the transfer, as urine or blood tests carried out any sooner can be misleading.
